Digital Hardware/FPGA Design Engineer Main purpose of the job As a Digital Hardware/FPGA Design Engineer you will be part of a small close knit team of multi-disciplined engineers developing state of the art products for the professional broadcast market. Your involvement will be from concept definition through FPGA and board-level circuit design to transfer into production. Specific Responsibilities In this role you will be responsible for: - Specification and system design of new products
- FPGA/CPLD design and verification
- Board level high speed digital circuit design
Requirements Knowledge of the following technologies would be an advantage: - VHDL
- Broadcast video and audio standards
- ARM microprocessors
- 3G/HD/SD-SDI video processing
- TI DSP processors
- DVB-ASI
- H.264/MPEG-4
- Dolby Digital/E/Plus/Pulse
- DDR2/DDR3 memory
- Linux
Experience of the following tools would be valuable: - Aldec Active-HDL
- Xilinx ISE
- Lattice ispLEVER and Diamond
- GNU C/C++ compiler
- Orcad
- MathCAD
