PHABRIX adds multi-layer eye diagram to the PHABRIX SxE At NAB 2010 PHABRIX has announced a major new enhancement to its award winning hand held eye and jitter PHABRIX SxE. The display of the eye and jitter is now displayed as a multi layer image creating a much more detailed window of analysis. The new display mode can also assign specific colours such as green and blue to the eye diagram. Additionally users can select the colour of the eye pattern in colour-graded mode to view ‘hot spots’. To get a quantitative view of signal integrity performance, automated measurements are applied to the eye-diagram pattern, including eye height, signal amplitude, and slew rate. The automated measurements are a key feature of the success of the PHABRIX SxE’s early adoption by broadcasters and broadcast manufacturers alike. Paul Nicholls, sales and marketing manager for PHABRIX commented, ‘The SxE has been a hugely successful product world-wide for PHABRIX and now with the release of the new multi layer view of the eye, users can check the signal response with more detail. Over 400 units are now installed and existing users will be pleased to know that this will be released as a free upgrade after NAB.’ This significant new screen combined with automated measurements propels the SxE into the domain of reference instruments confirming PHABRIX’s place as a leading test and measurement manufacturer. |
