PHABRIX at Broadcast Asia 2012

PHABRIX is all set for exhibiting its revolutionary range of test and measurement solutions on the UK trade pavilion booth 4E2-02.

Taking centre stage on PHABRIX’s stand at Broadcast Asia will be the new Rx rack mount range incorporating the modular PHABRIX 2U Rx2000 and two new rasterizers – the 1U Rx1000 and the half rack Rx 500 launched recently at NAB 2012.

This new range of test and measurement equipment offers engineers the ability to customise their broadcast infrastructure needs with three different chassis with a choice of modules to provide T&M for up to 8 simultaneous channels.  A variety of features are provided  including  HDMI-SDI output at (1920 x1080) providing a multi viewer of instruments, 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, SD-SDI + optical support , integrated audio/video monitoring and a range of different modules supporting  eye and jitter, dual analyser and generator.

The Rx product range is set to redefine the layout used in traditional engineering bays and has been designed as a cost effective investment for test and measurement equipment.

PHABRIX’s unique and ever popular Sx handheld range will also be on show at Broadcast Asia. These include the PHABRIX SxA 3G/HD/SD-SDI with AES, the PHABRIX SxD 3G/HD/SD-SDI with dual link level A and level B  supporting over 350 formats and PHABRIX’s bestselling SxE 3G/HD/SD-SDI with its revolutionary  eye and jitter automated measurements.

Technologically PHABRIX will also be displaying its new options supporting Dolby E bitstream generation and Dolby E bitsteam analysis. Currently available on the PHABRIX Sx handheld range the world’s first Dolby E  generator provides a full range of program configurations at both 16 and 20 bit. Metadata that can be altered with adjustable starting frame rate and output as AES or embedded if required. The Dolby E analyzer can be set to check the metadata using colour identified fields. Eight channel audio metering and guard band analysis with comprehensive logging make up the toolset.

Director sales and marketing Paul Nicholls commented;

‘The new Dolby E generator and analyzer together provide a  closed loop testing feature-set allowing a broadcast engineer the opportunity to have Dolby E audio support in combination with the Sx’s extensive video toolset - all provided as a very cost effective solution.’
