| The new Ancillary Data Analyzer (ADA) option from PHABRIX provides broadcasters, studios, OB and broadcast manufacturers with a detailed analysis of the ancillary data present in a SDI signal. The simple grid layout extends PHABRIX’s easy to use GUI providing a quick view check for an engineer using PHABRIX’s hand held instruments. Each packet type is then displayed as present, not present or red if in fault. If further detail is required then a separate ANC analyser screen can be activated to display the selected ANC providing location (line), header, data bytes and CRC from the decoded data. Paul Nicholls, PHABRIX’s sales and marketing manager commented, ‘The PHABRIX Sx instruments already have an extensive SDI analysis option capable of looking at the detail in a complete video frame including Active picture, Blanking and TRS words. The new ADA option provides further information on decoding the data present in the Vanc and Hanc area of the picture and represents a major new level of analysis for our hand held range.
