A new product range targeted at master control rooms and OB applications has been announced by UK based PHABRIX limited. Having made a significant entry into the test and measurement broadcast market with its Sx range of portable hand held SDI video and audio test signal products, PHABRIX has taken its technology and focussed it on a range of 2U instruments.

All products in the Rx range benefit from the technological advancements incorporated in the company’s Sx models and each offers a comprehensive range of test functions. Using the colour coded menu guides and simple button control, test functions can be switched for easy monitoring through the clear 4.3” 16:9 display. The Rx range comes configured with a suite of test patterns and support for SMPTE standards throughout.

Agility across SDI formats has been a key feature of the company’s products. Each model can test across SD-SDI, HD-SDI or 3G-SDI signals fulfilling the growing need for multi format studio requirements. The Rx range also incorporates network accessibility using the built-in Ethernet port, useful in selecting a variety of equipment on the network. The 2U rack design also displays an innovative tilt features enabling the user to position the unit either as a desk mount or high level view, the rack is able to tilt between a range of preset angles to enable optimal viewing. The company also has plans for a 2 and 4 monitor model to further enhance the range.
