PHABRIX attended a very busy SMPTE conference in Sydney Australia in July. It was the first opportunity for PHABRIX to demonstrate its new modular Rx 2000 rack mount unit, the first of three new products that were shown at NAB in April. The dual screen 19" 2U rack mount instrument made quite a hit at the show demonstrating its ability to add a range of test and measurement modules for a wide range of broadcast applications. It supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI and can be software upgraded to 3G-SDI when required. The Rx 2000 as with all the Rx range also supports optical and instruments displayed on an HDMI output up to 1920 x 1080. The very successful Sx hand held range of portable test and measurement instruments were also on display. This included all three award winning products, the PHABRIX SxA combined generator, analyzer and monitor with AES, the world beating PHABRIX SxE with automated eye and jitter and the PHABRIX SxD dual link capable of generating and analysing over 350 different broadcast formats. The stand was hosted by AV Group, PHABRIX’s official distributor in Australia. Peter Rolston, MD of AV Group along with Adrian Chepsey made sure the PHABRIX team were busy by introducing them to the broadcast community in Australia. Phillip Adams MD of PHABRIX was in attendance and commented: ‘It was a long way to travel from the UK to Australia but what a welcome from all the broadcasters and engineers in Australia. The AV Group were exceptional in supporting us at the SMPTE conference and we will be returning to the next SMPTE conference in Australia in 2014’ www.phabrix.com |
